How the Bears won
- Chicago trailed 20-10 after Younghoe Koo's 19-yard field goal with 10:19 left, then scored the game's final 14 points to win. [source]
- Caleb Williams' 2-yard touchdown pass to Rome Odunze cut it to 20-17 with 3:56 to play; after a 26-yard Giants punt, Williams hit Luther Burden III for 27 yards and then ran 17 yards for the go-ahead score with 1:47 left. [source]
- New York's last-gasp drive ended with a turnover on downs at its own 46; Tremaine Edmunds disrupted the fourth-down pass. [source]
- Odunze, shut out a week earlier in Cincinnati, caught 6 passes for 86 yards and the touchdown. [source]
- Newly signed C.J. Gardner-Johnson recorded two sacks and a team-high nine tackles; his third-quarter hit knocked Giants rookie Jaxson Dart out of the game with a concussion, and his fourth-quarter sack of Russell Wilson on third down forced a punt. [source]
- Dart went 19-of-29 for 242 yards and ran 6 times for 66 yards and two touchdowns before leaving, becoming the first QB in NFL history with a rushing TD in five straight games. [source]
- Windy conditions at Soldier Field led the Bears to pass on field-goal tries of 47, 50 and 53 yards in the first half; the Giants led 10-7 at the break and 17-10 entering the fourth quarter. [source]
- Drops plagued Chicago's passing game — DJ Moore, Olamide Zaccheaus, D'Andre Swift and Odunze each had a costly one — in one of Williams' least efficient outings of the season. [source]
- The win moved the Bears to 6-3 — six wins in seven games and already more victories than in all of 2024 — while the Giants fell to 2-8 with a fourth straight loss. [source]
- Williams afterward: 'We know who we are... we know we're real,' while Johnson said the players have a belief that they will find a way in the fourth quarter. [source]
The chant after this one
Every win ends the same way: Johnson gathers the room, calls for quiet, and leads the four lines one at a time with the whole team answering. This was chant No. 7 of the Johnson era.
- Johnson handed game balls to C.J. Gardner-Johnson (two sacks, nine tackles) and Caleb Williams (two fourth-quarter touchdowns) before the chant. [source]
- Johnson kept the speech shorter than usual, joking that he felt like he was 'on repeat' every week and had nothing new to say, then asked the room whether anyone wavered for a second and declared the Bears had the Giants right where they wanted them. [source]
- The Bears' X account posted the clip the night of Nov. 9 with the caption 'Hits every time.' — the same title used on the team's YouTube clip. [source]
- NFL.com also featured the moment in a 'Ben Johnson ignites locker room after Week 10 win' video. [source]
