How the Bears won
- Green Bay led 6–0 at halftime on two Brandon McManus field goals and 13–3 after three quarters following a 33-yard Malik Willis-to-Romeo Doubs touchdown. [source]
- Packers QB Jordan Love left in the second quarter with a concussion after a helmet-to-helmet hit from Bears rookie Austin Booker; Malik Willis replaced him and went 9-of-11 for 121 yards and a TD. [source]
- Trailing 16–6 with about five minutes left, the Bears scored 10 points in the final 1:59 of regulation: a 43-yard Cairo Santos field goal, a Josh Blackwell onside-kick recovery at the Chicago 47, and a 6-yard Caleb Williams touchdown pass to Jahdae Walker on fourth-and-4 with 24 seconds left. [source]
- In overtime Green Bay drove to the Chicago 36, but a botched exchange between Willis and Sean Rhyan on fourth-and-1 ended the drive; Williams then hit DJ Moore for a 46-yard walk-off touchdown. [source]
- Williams finished 19-of-34 for 250 yards and two touchdowns with no turnovers; both scores came on the Bears' final two possessions. [source]
- Cairo Santos went 3-for-3 on field goals (46, 51, 43 yards) in swirling wind, and DJ Moore had five catches for 97 yards plus the game-winner. [source]
- The Bears played without wide receivers Rome Odunze and Luther Burden III, both inactive with injuries. [source]
- It was Chicago's sixth win of the season after trailing in the final two minutes of regulation, the most in the NFL that year and a franchise record. [source]
- Williams tied Bo Nix's NFL record for most fourth-quarter comeback wins by a quarterback in his first two seasons (eight). [source]
- The win improved the Bears to 11–4, clinching their first winning season since 2018 and giving them a game-and-a-half lead over Green Bay (9–5–1) in the NFC North. [source]
The chant after this one
Every win ends the same way: Johnson gathers the room, calls for quiet, and leads the four lines one at a time with the whole team answering. This was chant No. 12 of the Johnson era.
- Johnson handed out four game balls: kicker Cairo Santos (3-for-3 in the wind), wide receiver Jahdae Walker (game-tying TD while filling in for injured starters), cornerback Josh Blackwell (onside-kick recovery) and DJ Moore (46-yard OT winner, his second game ball in two weeks). [source]
- Johnson told the room 'this is a special group' and said he had never been around a team that doesn't bat an eye when games get late and tight. [source]
- The team-posted celebration video was widely shared under the chant's 'Never let it rest' line, with the Bears having just secured their first winning record since 2018. [source]
- The Bears also posted a short clip of players dancing in the locker room, captioned around having 'thawed out' in time to celebrate the cold-weather win. [source]
